Hi everyone, Gaby here today with a small project you can do if you are having guests over for the holidays. I made some place cards like this for Thanksgiving and I thought it would be fun to recreate this with a Christmas theme. You can do these in one evening if you prep all of your paper and die cuts beforehand.

Check out the video below for what you'll need to make these.

I hope you enjoyed this video and your are inspired to make your own place cards, until next time, happy crafting.

Pop-Up with Quick Quotes and Lawn Fawn

Cards, Crafts, Diy, How to, Paper crafting, Stamps, TutorialGabriela SimsComment

Hi everyone, Gabriela here today with a way to showcase your paper patterns and have some fun with stamps or die cuts.  This card is a pop-up inside and has a decorative band holding it closed.

I am using the Winter Bliss collection and I started by cutting my paper into pieces. I used one 12" x 1" strip, one 5.5" x 4.25" rectangle, a 3" x 3" square and an 8" x 5.5" rectangle. I used a plain white card base.

I stamped my images using my amazing Stamp Perfect tool and used a pop-up die for the inside of the card.

Once I had everything cut out, I adhered my die cuts and stamped the sentiment.
The outside of the card was put together by using a stamp runner on the 5.5" x 4.25" piece and adhering that to the card base. Then the 3" square was stuck on top of that.
Finally, the 12" x 1" strip is what will hold the card closed, it's just a decorative touch.  Place the strip on the front of the card.
Turn the card over.
Fold each edge of the strip towards the center of the card.
Then adhere the ends together to make a band. The finished card will have a very nice look and a fun pop-up inside.

This card is motivational, but any occasion will work; Winter Bliss is my favorite collection right now, but you can use any of the beautiful Quick Quotes collections to make a project like this.  I hope you enjoyed this project and thanks for stopping by.

Give Thanks for the Little Things

Quick Quotes, How to, Paper crafting, Crafts, Diy, Want2Scrap, Xyron, Decor, TutorialGabriela SimsComment

Hi everyone, Gabriela here as part of the Want2Scrap blog hop! I did a project that you can use for you Thanksgiving table or have in your house all year long. This took me about an hour and a half to finish and it was very simple to make. I used a mirror for this, but you could use an old frame or a shadow box.

I started with the 12" round mirror, a chipboard die cut from Want2Scrap, Honeycomb 102, and Mahogany ink.

I inked "The little things" with Mahogany ink and then cut out "Give Thanks for" on my Cricut from the Honeycomb paper.

While I let the chipboard dry, I put Want2Scrap bling around the edge of the mirror for a decorative effect.  This part took the longest, but I put on some music and I was done in about 30 minutes.

To make attaching the letters easy, I used my Xyron to put adhesive on the back of the paper and the chipboard.

Finally, I attached the words using a ruler and my cutting mat to line everything up; here's the finished project.

The first picture was taken with nothing in the reflection and the second was taken to show how the words look with a reflection of something.  I am planning on getting a plate stand for this so I can display it for Thanksgiving! If you use a frame or shadow box, you can hang it on the wall as decor for the whole year.  I hope you liked this project and you give it a try, thanks for stopping by.

Lifeprint is Giving Me Life

Color, Coloring, Crafts, Diy, Drawing, Graphic design, Photography, Tutorial, UnboxingGabriela SimsComment

I had to do a quick post on this AMAZING new tool I got this past week, it's called Lifeprint and you can buy one here or here.  The whole premise is so cool and fun, the printer uses augmented reality to print a code into a photo that looks normal but when scanned with their app reveals a video clip, it's like Harry Potter.  I did a short unboxing and tried it out on a stop motion that I did a while back and the result was so cool.  Check out the video below.

Can you even imagine how much neat stuff you can do for scrapping and card making with this?  You can have a card with you personally wishing someone happy birthday! The only thing they have to do is download the app, and that's free! I am so excited to use this for cards and artwork. I hope you enjoyed the video and you get a chance to try one of these, happy crafting!
