Decorate an Envelope

Stamping, Gab with Gaby Stamps, Paper crafting, The Gab with Gaby ShopGabriela SimsComment

Hi there, Gaby here with an idea you can use to pretty up any envelope!  I used Tombow markers for this and a Wink of Stella pen.

I put a piece of card-stock in the envelope to keep any ink from seeping through the paper.

I started by using the Meet The Jelly Friends stamp set and did some masking to group three of them together. I used pigment ink here so my stamped image would not bleed.

Hey guys!

Hey guys!

I did my coloring here by doing the back ground first and then coloring in each stamped image.

I added my Wink of Stella and then used my Monotwin to fill in the part of my sentiment that did not fully stamp.

Finally, I cleaned up my image and then covered it with MicroGlaze, that way when it goes through the mail it will be water resistant.

If you do use MicroGlaze, write the recipient's address and apply your postage first because the glaze is almost like a wax.  I had to glue on a stamp once because I forgot!

I used the Mono Sand Eraser to clean up pills before I applied the MicroGlaze.  That's all for today, I hope you make some amazing mail art! Happy crafting.

Hand Lettering is Amazing.

Hi there everyone.  I have been working hard on my hand lettering and was able to make a piece of framed wall art that says "But first, Coffee!".  I did this lettering on my iPad and then made a cut file that I sent to my Cricut as a "Print & Cut" file.  Once it was cut out, I added some stamped images and adhered the letters and put everything in a jazzy frame.

I will be making more of these and posting them in the shop; once I figure out how to upload cut files, I will have some free downloads for you too! That's all for today, but you can always check me out on IG by clicking on that slideshow on the right, happy crafting!

My Monthly Hero - April 2017 Review and Card

Cards, Crafts, Paper crafting, Reviews, Unboxing, Hero ArtsGabriela SimsComment

Hello there! I hope you are doing well.  I recently ordered my first kit from Hero Arts' My Monthly Hero Kit and I will be reviewing that today and making a card. I received my kit on Friday and made a card the same night because I was so excited about it.  I have been of the fence a few times with kits and ultimately did not buy them, but I am very happy with this one. You get a really nice value, the kit is $34.99 plus shipping, but the stamp and die set would probably cost that much on their own, so it's like all of the other things are free.  Check out the review below.

As you can see, I am very happy with this kit and that card came together very quickly. I have not started a subscription yet, but I will be keeping an eye out on the kit contents from now on.  Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting.

The Kickstarter has Launched!

Hellooooo everyone! Sorry I have been away for so long, but I have been working on getting my stamp artwork done and creating an enamel pin design.  All of that was for...MY KICKSTARTER! I am beyond thrilled to announce this! I have been working on this project for over a month and there were a few setbacks, but I have all of the samples done and now the campaign is live.  If you order the stamps from the campaign, they will be slightly lower than the individual prices listed here, mainly because I will be making them in much larger quantities, likewise with the enamel pin.  I will be working hard to promote this campaign but I will have more time for card videos now...I remember that I owe you all a video about making a pop-up card, I have filmed it, I just need to edit.  That's all for today, and as always, happy crafting!
