The Daily Marker 30 Day -Day 7

I'm a little behind, but here are some mermaids that are for a card set for a friend. These were done on Bristol paper with Copic Ciao markers. That's one of my favorite stamps and I stamped the image using Memento in Tuxedo Black.

Surprisingly this didn't take that long, fussy cutting them was probably the most tedious part. I will post the completed set when they are done, happy crafting!

So I did these right on either side of the 5th turning into the 6th, so I just put them in one post. First up is a freehand watercolor.

Together Layout with Quick Quotes

Gabriela SimsComment

Hello everyone, Gabriela here with a layout using the Farmhouse Collection. I started with a photo of some of my favorite girlfriends and then built my page around it.

I used Farmhouse 105 and Farmhouse 101.  I cut my photo down to 3.5" x 5" and cut two rectangles out of the 101 at 4.25" x 5.5" & 4.75" x 6".  I rounded the photo edges and then used corner punches to the corners of my mats.  I decided to double mat this photo because I wanted to use both sides of the paper. I inked the edge of the first mat with Navy.

I used a Vellum Quote for the top of the page and colored the back of the vellum around the letters using Aqua and a blender pen. I took a piece of white Bristol paper and inked it up using Mahogany and punched corners to match the second mat for my photo.

Next I glued the vellum to the Bristol paper with a glue pen by tracing the letter so the glue would not show through the vellum.

I wanted to add some journaling on this page so I cut another piece of 101 and made a "pocket" with rounded edges and used a scrap piece of Bristol to make the journaling card.  I knew this would go in the lower left hand corner.

I added some coordinating strips of 101 (both sides) and I used the other side of 105 as the final mat for my photo.  I added a Farmhouse Chip Board Die Cut and a Farmhouse Die Cut Sticker.  I added a few strips of washi tape, an arrow embellishment, and some punched out confetti.

The coordination was very easy because the papers and inks work so well together.  Please let me know if you have any questions about any of the techniques used here.  Thank you and happy crafting!

So I am really trying to keep up with this! I designed this card for one of my friends who does ballet workouts! I came up with the drawing, fussy cut it and then did a watercolor background.
