So I have been working on the Daily Marker 30 Day challenge and I have spent about 5 days on these, but I am so happy with the result.

All boxed up.

All boxed up.

I started by stamping all of my mermaids and coloring them, and then fussy cut them all.

A school of mermaids.

Then I did some distress ink backgrounds to resemble water and then sewed tulle around the edge to make shaker pockets.

I sewed circles on to make pockets.

Then I used my We R Memory Keepers DIY Confetti Punch to make "Bubbles" out of glitter paper and trimmed down the tulle.

Almost done.

Almost done.

Finally I sewed up the tops and attached them to A2 sized note cards.

Done.

Done.

I boxed them up with envelopes to complete the set and shipped them to a friend.

I hope you try some new ways to make shaker cards and you have the chance to send someone happy mail! Happy crafting!

Colored pencil on black card stock

I wanted to try doing some colored pencil work on black card stock and decided to do some masking as well.

i started by stamping white ink on black card stock.

This is my main image, so it goes first, everything stamped after it will appear "behind" this.

I finished my image and then masked all parts.

Then I colored in the image.

Then I adhered it to foil card stock.

Then that was trimmed and adhered to the base and the sentiment was stamped and embossed.

And the finished product after adding some accents with a white gel pen.

Done!

I used some flower stamps for this, but you can really use any image you want to color. I used Prismacolor pencils and a blender. Happy crafting!

Hi everyone! This post just to capture the last of my cards and artwork for the week. I made this card for a challenge, the prompt was "Cup".

#muglife

#muglife

This was done by drawing the cup on watercolor paper, using Tombow brush pens to color and then embossing the #muglife.

i also found the time to do some more hand lettering.

I used a mixture of Pitt artist pens, Sharpie Fine, Le Pen, and Copic markers for this one. Took about 2-2.5 hours from start to finish, hopefully I'll get faster. I'll be starting next week with a 10 minute card, until then Happy Crafting!

Scrapbook Layout

So I have done it, I have created a full page and loved every minute of creating it! I started with one of our Sepia toned wedding photos and built my page around that. I decided to go with a mono print background I did in dark, rich colors and one of my background stamps.  Then I added some paper rosettes with enamel dots and buttons and layered those onto a paper heart. To mount the photo I chose to round my corners and used some Distress Ink on the mat to keep that vintage theme going. I used a quote from our wedding invitations and more Distress Ink. I adhered the photo with foam tape and added another paper flower with a rain stone center.

The finished version.

The finished version.

To do the mono print background I used the Creative Palette from Stampendous an I found it to be very easy to use and clean.

I will be doing more projects like this soon with videos, thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!
