Lifeprint is Giving Me Life

Color, Coloring, Crafts, Diy, Drawing, Graphic design, Photography, Tutorial, UnboxingGabriela SimsComment

I had to do a quick post on this AMAZING new tool I got this past week, it's called Lifeprint and you can buy one here or here.  The whole premise is so cool and fun, the printer uses augmented reality to print a code into a photo that looks normal but when scanned with their app reveals a video clip, it's like Harry Potter.  I did a short unboxing and tried it out on a stop motion that I did a while back and the result was so cool.  Check out the video below.

Can you even imagine how much neat stuff you can do for scrapping and card making with this?  You can have a card with you personally wishing someone happy birthday! The only thing they have to do is download the app, and that's free! I am so excited to use this for cards and artwork. I hope you enjoyed the video and you get a chance to try one of these, happy crafting!

Shell-Ebrate with Mermaids

Diy, Coloring, Paper crafting, Crafts, Quick Quotes, How to, Tutorial, Color, CardsGabriela SimsComment

Hi everyone, Gabriela here today with a card I made using the Anchors Aweigh Collection and a stamp I really love. I decided to make a mermaid themed card using the shell pattern from the Anchors Aweigh papers. I started with my stamp and then colored it in using my Copics.

Then I traced, colored and cut out my shell.

Then I used some of my chalking inks and a blender pen to color the top inside of the card.

I decided that I wanted to make the card a pop-up, so I attached some paper to both sides of the "shell" and attached the mermaid.

I added some glitter with my Wink of Stella pen in Clear.

Then I added some iridescent bubbles and did a little more blending on the inside.

Here is the final product.

I had a blast making this card and getting into this month's challenge! I hope you all do too!

So this was my first year going to Scrapbook Expo and I got my entire life from it! There were so many booths and activities! I had no idea what I was missing but now that I have seen the crafty promised land, I am already excited about next year. There is a Mega Make & Take on Thursday night and then an all day crop on Saturday and Sunday. The shopping floor is also open on Friday & Saturday and classes are offered on those two days as well.

The break area and the crop.

The side with the vendors/exhibitors had lots of product but also lots of space to move around and be comfortable.

I went with one of my coworkers and it was also her first time, so we wanted to try everything so we did a Make & Take with Fun Stamper's Journey and Richard Garay was there! We made this super cute Christmas tag and even got a free stamp.

This is cool and it only took about 15 minutes.

Make Your Own Pocket Page for Project Life Cards

ColorGabriela SimsComment

Hi everyone, Gabriela here today with a new way to use your paper.  Sometimes you have a really nice piece of paper that you want to use because it just looks amazing.  Pocket pages allow you to showcase several paper patters and even multiple photos.  I used my Fuse to turn an ordinary scrapbook page cover into a pocket page for Back to School, check out the video below.

I hope you enjoyed the video and found a new way to use some papers you already have, thanks for stopping by.

Scrapping with Coldplay

Scrapbooking, Paper crafting, Color, How to, Quick Quotes, Layout, We R Memory KeepersGabriela SimsComment

Hi everyone, Gabriela here today with a page I loved doing. I went to see Coldplay in Chicago last month and I knew I wanted to scrap the concert and use some bold colors. I started by making a mini pocket album.  I cut my paper at 12" x 6" and scored at 1.5" across and 3" vertically.

These panels will be taped together.
Then I added a background and my letters.

I chose a picture from when the band was performing "Yellow" and adhered the mini pocket album to the page.  Inside that I placed the ticket stubs and a journaling card.

This concert was absolutely amazing and to be honest, I will probably scrap it again :), happy crafting.
