So I have done it, I have created a full page and loved every minute of creating it! I started with one of our Sepia toned wedding photos and built my page around that. I decided to go with a mono print background I did in dark, rich colors and one of my background stamps.  Then I added some paper rosettes with enamel dots and buttons and layered those onto a paper heart. To mount the photo I chose to round my corners and used some Distress Ink on the mat to keep that vintage theme going. I used a quote from our wedding invitations and more Distress Ink. I adhered the photo with foam tape and added another paper flower with a rain stone center.

To do the mono print background I used the Creative Palette from Stampendous an I found it to be very easy to use and clean.

I will be doing more projects like this soon with videos, thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

I wanted to try doing some hand lettering and water coloring and I thought the easiest way to do it would be to use my Molotow masking pen.

I started by finding a quote I really liked from Aesop, and hand lettered it in pencil on a piece of Bristol paper.

Then I covered all of the lettering with the Molotow masking pen.

All masked and ready to go.

What I should have done here is erased my guidelines, but I didn't so they're slightly visible in the finished work, but if you are making this, now is a good time to erase them being careful not to disturb the masking fluid.

Then I added my watercolor background and dried it with my heat tool.

Finally I removed the mask with an adhesive eraser (they're very handy and won't cause your paper to pill).

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the results! The next time I do this though, I will erase my guidelines earlier and I will use a lighter sketch pencil when I do my hand lettering. Hope you enjoyed this, Happy Crafting!

Gab about encouragement

This is a card I did to follow my other "Sound & Color" card from last week.  I used the same artwork, but changed the background to distress ink and acetate.

I wanted to do a mashup of encouragement with my unicorn drawing as well, so I revisited that with a distress ink background as well, but used a normal card stock base.

I have some new ideas coming up soon for some of the doodles I put together.

I love the new Coldplay album and Alabama Shakes' current alum. I've been listening to them both lot lately, and tonight I was inspired to make this drawing:

I also changed up the letters and made some smaller ones:

I colored one of them and I'm going to watercolor a few to see what I like best.

Hi everyone, I have started coloring more and I have to say I'm really enjoying it. The video below is for a masked stamping shaker card that I colored.

I was so happy with this that I asked for new stamps for Christmas! I am also going to be doing some examples like this with my own drawings soon, until then, here are a few other stamps I finished.
