If you are anything like me, you have a ton of craft tools so you probably have a die cutting machine and metal dies.  I use a Cuttlebug, but there's the Vagabond, Evolution and Big Shot; they all have metal dies.  I like the versatility of the individual metal dies as opposed to some of the "BIGZ" dies, the only problem is sometimes it's hard to keep track of some of the intricate little pieces.  So I thought, how can I store these so I can see them easily?  The answer? MAGNETS!!!

I decided to make a book and stick my dies to the "pages" so that way I could store a lot of them at once without worrying about losing them. Here I'll explain how I made it and how you can too.

What you'll need:

Chipboard (I used 6" by 6")

Adhesive Magnetic Sheets (I used the Silhouette sheets)

Paper you like

A trimmer

Binding tool (I used my Cinch)

About 1 hour of time

I used my trimmer to cut my sheets down to 5.5" squares so that I would have a little bit of a margin around the edges to put background paper.

Then I chose paper backgrounds and then pulled off the adhesive backing of the magnetic paper and stuck it down.  Then I continued until I had 6 double sided chip board pieces and then cut 5 pieces of card stock down to the same size to go between the die pages so my dies would not be scratching each other.  

Next I punched holes in the "pages" and then put them on the binder in order.

Finally, I bound the pages using the Cinch and then had a complete book and an easy way to keep track of my metal dies.  

This will hold a few more sets because I had two pages (front and back) left open when I finished the project.  This was pretty easy to make and I think it will be handy when I'm at crops at my local scrapbooking store, or if I'm working on a project at home.  I like it because it allows me to see all of my dies at once, so I can use things I might have forgotten I owned.  That's all for this post, let me know if you have any questions and until next time happy crafting!
